This is the kind of confusion that happens in my day.
Earlier today, I attended the very well done dissertation defense of a doctoral student in our program (I should add that this makes three very good defenses I’ve attended over the past 2-ish months.). During the talk, the student mentioned recruiting from a website that I thought was Fat Life (a blog about fat acceptance and the way we deal with body weight and size on the cultural level). This made sense to me as the dissertation was about body size and sexuality issues. My mistake, though. The recruitment site was Fet Life, a BDSM community. Still relevant as the study was about sex, of course, just one of those kinds of mix-ups that didn’t really happen back when I was working as a restaurant hostess during college.
