Leaked: Lohan’s Playboy Cover

Apparently the Lohan-cover debut was suppose to be next week, yet somehow the shot was leaked to the web nearly a week early. Typically I am not one to jump aboard the Lohan gossip train, but when I overheard people classifying her as “the modern day Darine Stern” – I simply had to put my foot down. Yes, back in the day when she was healthy (and preferably not a blond), I could definitely see how Lohan could be considered a knockout. But to put her (especially her in present day) in the same category as Darine Stern, the first African-American model to ever grace the front of the magazine, that just seems crazy. Quick! Playboy Redux Original Art For Sale

The Rotofugi Gallery has just placed artwork for sale (well, for preview request for sale) from the Playboy Redux: Contemporary Artists Interpret the Iconic Playboy Bunny exhibit. I first saw the exhibit earlier this summer in Pittsburgh at the Andy Warhol Museum when I was in town to speak at the American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors and Therapists annual meeting. They had a special reception for our group at the museum and some of the images were lovely. Check out the preview, featuring works by Ken Keirns, Hiroki Otsuka, Ain Cocke, Tara McPherson, Shag Agle and others – and let me know if you buy any of the pieces.
