I was leafing through my mail last week and it turns out that my colleagues and I are featured in our School’s alumni magazine, HPER Dimensions, at Indiana University, in relation to our partnership with colleagues at the University of Puerto Rico (you can read about our partnership here). That’s us in the picture above!
I feel so fortunate to be at a School and university that are so supportive of sexual health research, and that value partnerships and collaborative research projects with others around the world. I’m always learning from my colleagues and mentors (pictured above).
I realized, after looking at this photo again, that they photoshopped my cleavage out of the photo. Which is fine, but it now it looks as though the dress goes halfway down a completely flat and somewhat non-human chest. I wonder if Michael Phelps felt this way when People magazine supposedly photoshopped his penis out of their photos. It’s kind of awkward to think that someone was sitting there with Photoshop, enlarging the photo in my cleavage area, and then fixing it to be acceptable enough for a university publication. I see they left my super bony knees in the photo, however.
