I Can Get An STD HOW?

Since I first became interested in sexual health education and sexology, I’ve been subscribing to Felix Clairvoyant’s bi-weekly worldly sex digest, Eros World News. Every week, Felix posts an article, that is, according to his description, “educational, controversial, factual, questionable, humorous, totally hilarious, absurd, or enlightening so as to bring more awareness and hopefully get the conversation going”. This week, Felix posted an educational article on how easily STDs are transmitted. According to the author, Dr. Andrew Lange, STDs can absolutely be transmitted without sex. “Even grandma kissing you at Christmas might pass on cold sores (a herpes virus).” Yikes! He goes on to educate the readers about the often overlooked symptoms of many common STDs. The article is absolutely worth a read!

    Thank you so much for sharing this site! As my interest in sex ed and awareness has increased, I’ve been looking for quality online sources of information! As a scientist I’m extremely skeptical and this site looks fantastic!

    It is very easy to get an STD or STI, you can get them vaginally, anal, & in your mouth or throat. Even if you use protection you can still contract Genital Herpes (HSV2), Syphilis, & Genital Warts. I agree with her response above, yes you can get Oral herpes (HSV1) from a relative (non sexual). There’s a great online website that you can get tested with. You should check them out it’s, http://getstdtested.com/ their pretty awesome!! Hope I helped answer your question!!
