SF chronicle article about wine

In this San Francisco Chronicle article, the examples given are more of women switching wine to accomodate men’s choice, rather than either men switching their taste, or a straight couple just agreeing to disagree and order glasses of wine rather than get a bottle (though that option is finally presented toward the end). The article has interesting information about taste buds, gender issues and such – read the full article here.

Readers: what do you think? Are women more often willing to bend to the tastes of men, than vice versa, at least when it comes to wine? And to get to the article’s other issue, do you think it’s "unmanly" to drink white wine?
