There are so many incredible videos that have been submitted to Dan Savage’s It Gets Better project. Dan and Terry’s initial video made me feel warm inside (at parts) and also made me feel teary (for the sweet and also the very sad parts). However, this collaborative film featuring many GLBT individuals in San Fran, and at least one straight ally, made me even more teary. Check it out, learn more about the project and/or submit your own on the It Gets Better YouTube Channel.
Consider sending a link to It Gets Better to your friends and family, as well as to teachers or principals at the school you went to. Schools need to hear from their alumni that it’s important for them to offer support and advocacy for their gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender students.
