I’ve been a Dr Ruth fan for years. She’s funny, accessible, and intelligent. I also like that she makes sex and sexuality easy to understand, and is just so open about it in general.
Esquire magazine has a short feature on her in their January magazine, which I delighted in reading, and figured I’d share a link. Some of my favorite gems in the piece include her belief that skiers make the best lovers (they take risks) and that while women tend to be concerned with not having an orgasm, they need to take responsibility for that themselves. As a health educator, I appreciate Dr Ruth admitting that she is “never embarrassed to say ‘I don’t know.’”
