Artistic Expressions of FTM Top Surgery

My partner (yes, I think I’ve settled on that word now) recently passed along the link to this blog, which I then decided to pass along to all of you. It’s a site dedicated to various artistic interpretations of the themes, images, thoughts, emotions, etc. of top surgery. For those of you that don’t know what top surgery is, you can go ahead and learn about it here. This blog features some really amazing pieces, but I’ve posted my favorite below.

Self-Portrait with Mom, Cambridge, Massachusetts Produced 2005 by Jess Dugan

Unfortunately, I’m unable to get back to Eastern Mass in order to see the pieces, but if any of you are in the Boston area, here are the details!

The pieces can be seen at:

The Meeting Point
3464 Washington Street
Jamaica Plain, MA 02130

Also, there are some special events:

Saturday, January 29: Open Mic Night @ 7pm- 10 pm
Hosted by Taan Shapiro
$10 sliding scale: proceeds will benefit Cut Healed Mine entering into new venues for a wider viewing audience

Saturday, February 5: Closing @ 7 pm- 10 pm
Come for one last viewing at TMP and Celebrate the amazing ARTISTS that created CHM
