Jeana Jorgensen, PhD recently completed her doctoral degree in folklore and gender studies at Indiana University. She studies fairy tales and other narratives, dance, body art, feminist theory, digital humanities, and gender identity.

    I also have no clue who the original author is – but will be keeping an eye on this, so hopefully someone will post. I have used this in a lecture before – and once handed it out on the power point. I think it’s incredibly timely and makes sense. As someone who has worked in rape crisis, I deal with the sort of thinking that this is trying to pull down and appreciate anything that may help.

    I think it has passed from the realm of creation by an original author to meme-status, or even folklore. But I agree, it presents a valuable perspective in an accessible way, and I intend to use it when I can, too.
