Solar-Powered Silver Bullet Vibrator, Anyone?

Over the past 5 years, more companies are stretching their creative muscles to create greener sex products including organic lubricants and wind-up vibrators, such as the Earth Angel vibrator (that I reviewed here).

Now there is a solar-powered vibrator, pictured above, available at LoveHoney. Here are the details:

The solar power pack detaches from the vibrator so you won’t have to put the vibrator itself outside or on your window sill to get a charge. Simply place the solar power pack by a light source for it to charge up. An LED light display indicates that it’s charging. When you’re ready to use it, you should have plenty of time available (it provides up to 60 minutes of charge when fully charged) and delivers strong vibrations.

PROS:

  • It’s Green! No batteries required.
  • A full charge gives 60 minutes of power which should be more than enough for most people to get anywhere from 1-6 uses of it.
  • Strong intensity (just like the Earth Angel, which was surprisingly strong)
  • The bullet is multi-speed, as many bullets are (low to high)
  • Greener packaging, unlike many sex toys (even the Earth Angel came in plastic)

CONS:

  • It takes 8 hours to get a full charge so if you used up your battery life the night before, you better remember to set it out for some sun; otherwise, you’ll be up the creek when you come home later on and would like to use it again.
  • It only comes in black.
  • Not waterproof
  • The design is still a little clunky looking, but not nearly as clunky and washer-board looking as solar-powered vibrators of the past. It’s also, thankfully, not a strap-on animal design (which typically slip and slide) like the solar-powered Micro-Kitty.

OTHER:

  • The silver bullet, like most out there, is hard. This is a plus for some and an “ugh” for others.

Buy the Solar Powered silver bullet from LoveHoney right here. Or just browse for fun.

Keep in mind that these are based on available specs as I’m still waiting for a sample of this vibrator to review.
