I never know what to do with wedding registeries – to buy on or off the registry? On the one hand, I almost always try to buy something from the registry because then I know that it’s something that the couple hopefully wants or at least doesn’t have. On the other hand, I sometimes feel it is too impersonal. And I NEVER buy from the registry if the only things left are rocks to put in vases or individual plates, as I cannot imagine the bride and group writing a thank you card to me "for that one plate you gave us" (even though I’ve been invited to weddings where single plates are VERY, VERY expensive – as in $100 each).
So… what to do? What do YOU all do with wedding registeries? Ignore? Obsess over? Have a good laugh at all the things that they want? Or dream about what you would add to a registry of your own?
