Take Your Costume From Trick-Or-Treating To The Bedroom

Halloween is a time to step outside the box and be someone you’d never normally be. If you’re taking the sexy route, why not invest in a costume that can also be used in the bedroom for role play? I’m all for reusing and recycling, and if Halloween inspires you to try something new in the bedroom, then I say go for it! Here’s a list of my favorite sexy costumes, and how to make them at home.

1. The Sexy Schoolgirl: The teacher/student fantasy seems to excite everyone, so this is a pretty good costume standard. If you’re a DIY kind of person, this is a really easy costume to compile out of stuff that you probably already have at home. If you can’t find these items in your own closet, hit a local thrift store to get them on the cheap.

What you’ll need: A plaid/gingham knee length skirt, knee high socks, high heeled pumps, a white button down shirt, and, if you’re going all out, a push-up bra. When all’s said and done, you should end up with something like this, but feel free to interpret this costume in your own way! Of course, if you’d rather buy a costume online, there’s a plethora of options just a click away.

2. Catwoman: This comic book vixen couldn’t be sexier. Can anyone say BDSM? This costume is also super easy to make at home.

What you’ll need: Pleather/Leather/Latex pants or leggings, a black leotard, a black cat mask, a leather whip (just for kicks), black heels, black fingerless gloves/biker gloves, a leather jacket, really anything leather. If you don’t have a top, you could also fashion one out of twisting a black garbage bag and using a whole lot of double sided tape. Or, you could go with the traditional version, seen below.

3. Cowgirl: Although this is a fairly standard Halloween costume, the use of props such as a lasso could really spice things up between the sheets.

What you’ll need: A button down flannel shirt, tied at the midriff like the schoolgirl costume, cutoff jean shorts, a cowboy hat, cowboy boots, and a rope lasso. Or, you could buy a cute little dress like this one.

4. Car Mechanic: There’s something about a man in uniform…so why not a woman? Get greased up and be creative when filling your tool-belt (toys, condoms, lube, you name it).

What you’ll need: A blue/grey button down uniform shirt, preferably with a name sewn into it (you can find these at thrift stores), a tool-belt, cut-off jean shorts, workman’s boots, black face paint for grease, and a monkey wrench. Or just buy this.
