Should we take the TV out of the bedroom? Sometimes it can keep us entertained and we neglect other forms of entertainment!
One of the simplest changes that a couple can make to improve their intimate life together is to banish the television from their bedroom. Not only does it make for more opportunities for sex but it also makes for better, more sound sleep potential.
Then, if you want a romantic night curled up in front of a TV show or movie, bring your laptop in and cuddle up in bed or bring your blankets out to the sofa, light some candles and snuggle up to your favorite show. Other than that, keep the television where it belongs to make it easier to keep your sex life alive and kicking.
Sex is not everything but it is important and connecting to most couples, especially during the early years of being together. If you are able to go without a TV in the bedroom, then great. If you’re on the fence, try to commit to at least two TV-free nights per week and see what else you two can get up to (like sex!). If he’s the one who’s glued to the TV, distract him by wearing sexy lingerie. And if you’re the one who gets sucked into TV, ask him – no, beg him – to help distract you with a massage, a bunch of kisses, and the chance to be carried off into the silent, no-TV bedroom.
