Yeah, I know. You’re probably thinking how often you’ve heard about the wonders of woman-on-top (WOT) only to find that, um, it kind of sucks. At least for some of you. Some of you probably love it and others are, like, meh.
The thing about WOT is that it’s yours for the taking. There are numerous ways to make it into a position that you enjoy. If you’re a woman who likes g spot stimulation and have a partner whose penis points upward or straight out in a 90 degree angle, you might try leaning backward to get the most of WOT. Do you like g spot stimulation and yet you have a downward pointing partner? Then by all means, turn around and reverse cowgirl it.
Does your guy go soft when you hop into WOT? Or, if you’re a guy, does this describe you?) Then ladies: Try squatting on top of him, rising up until your body is around the head of his penis, and then let him thrust upward. Does he like full-shaft stimulation? Have him lay still and tense his pelvic muscles while you squat on top and then rise up and down, up and down, in quick rhythmic ways.
Men: are you (perhaps uncomfortably) well-endowed? Slather on some water-based lube (I like Good Clean Love) and have her hop on top, allowing her to control the movements so that sex feels comfortable.
Some couples find WOT challenging (read one of my old Time Out Chicago columns for more on this topic). But really and truly, there are a thousand ways to make this a delightfully pleasurable and maybe even orgasmic sex position. Have at it and keep me posted if you have any questions, curiosities or feedback.
