Interactive Life Forms, LLC – otherwise known at the manufacturers of Fleshlight, one of the best selling male masturbation sleeves – is claiming that other companies are infringing on their patent. Specifically, some reports claim they’re eyeing Tenga, who has been coming out with increasingly interesting and popular male masturbation sleeves and has recently started selling them to men in the US, which Fleshlight wants to stop.
Being familiar with both product lines, I have to say that the Tenga seems to be a significant improvement on the Fleshlight, which is pretty basic (but basic can be good). Men I know who have tried both seem to prefer the Tenga. However, that doesn’t mean that Tenga is in the clear just because they’ve gone the extra mile with masturbation sleeve casings that open more easily for cleaning, interior nubbies that provide extra sensation, double hole cups, and lube that comes with the toy and is packaged in sexy test-tube like containers. I’m not familiar with the patents that Fleshlight owns and it may indeed be the case that Fleshlight has a case here.
