When people think of DIY sex toys, they often think of bananas and cucumbers. Sometimes they even think of baby carrots (which I wholeheartedly do NOT recommend for insertive sex play – they’re too small and can more easily get “lost” in vaginal or anal outer space). But surely these aren’t the only ways that people get handy at home – trust me.
One of my favorite DIY sexual enhancement products is homemade body sugar. Although you can certainly purchase flavored body sugars at sex shops (and believe me, some are super tasty!) you can also make your own at home.
Try using about 2 Tablespoons of confectioner’s sugar to every ¼ to ½ teaspoon of flavored yumminess. What’s in this flavored yumminess you ask? Take your pick!
· Try adding a little diced mint. You can often buy fresh mint leaves at the health food store, the grocery store or even at a local farmer’s marker. You can also, as they say, grow your own. It’s that good.
· Should you prefer to combine sweet and savory for complementary tastes, add chopped rosemary to your confectionary sugar (minus the stalks). Just make sure to chop it up super fine as rosemary is a stiffer herb (not as stiff as a hard penis, but stiffer than most herbs). Or opt for thyme or basil instead (watch my video to learn how to make Debby’s Basil Body Sugar).
· Feel like a more homemade, comfort food taste? Go for vanilla sugar! Or just add a half teaspoon of vanilla extract to your sugar and mix it up well before using it.
· To make a visually appealing - and equally tasty – concoction, mix small chocolate bits (or even M&Ms) in with your confectionary sugar. Or mix confectionary sugar with cocoa powder.
Whatever your style, after you’ve mixed your yummilicious body sugar concoction up, get naked! Take turns sprinkling it on each other’s bodies and lick it up. Slowly. I generally recommend that body sugar NOT go on women’s genitals, especially for women who are prone to yeast infections or irritation. But why not sprinkle your flavored body sugar on breasts? On his penis? As a happy trail along the chest/breasts and stomach? On your partner’s butt cheeks? Get down with your flavored body sugar self!
Although bodies are tasty in and of themselves, a little flavored body sugar can go a long way toward making sex even tastier, yummier and hotter than it was last week. Try it and let me know what you think or if you have secret recipes of your own to share.
