Ways We Use Our Cell Phones

There is no denying that the cell phone has irrevocably altered the way we relate to each other. It is now possible to stay almost constantly connected with people and phones can be used for nearly anything. People are really attached to their cell phones; according to Tyla Peakes’ article “What’s Sex Without A Cell Phone” one in three people would rather give up sex for a year than their cell phone. Genitals In The Wild: The Phallic Outlet

I have a direct view of this outlet from my seat in class every Tuesday and Thursday.  The only thing I can think about when I look at it is how phallic it is.  It is the only one like it on the whole wall and I have no idea what the extra design around the outlet is for. I like to think that it is a private joke among the people who built the room. See more Genitals in the Wild photos. Sexism On The Internet

Sexism is still unfortunately alive and well. I think this comic is an insightful and amusing take on how internet discussions take place. It highlights the important notion that what is most popular is not always the most accurate as well as the fact that sexism is not always completely obvious at first glance. Not All Costumes Need To Be Sexy

A couple of years ago, my roommate decided that she was going to dress up as “sexy” Indiana Jones. It struck me as a little odd that Indiana Jones was something that she thought needed to be made sexy (I thought he was pretty sexy already). However, “sexy” Indiana Jones turned out to be a very cute costume. The Huffington Post recently posted an article titled 13 Halloween Costumes That Have No Business Being ‘Sexy’. Continue Reading →

Sex Toy Review: Orgasmic Bliss Vibrator

Receiving the Orgasmic Bliss was quite exciting for me. I approve of sex toys in general, but don’t have that much experience with different kinds of vibrators. So, here’s to excitement and adventure and my first sex toy review. Materials, Cleaning, & Care
The Orgasmic Bliss is made of 100% silicone and it feels pretty nice. It isn’t a hard toy and the bumps on the outside will give a little under pressure. Continue Reading →

Rethinking The “Walk Of Shame”

It has been almost a year since I made my first and thus far only “Walk of Shame”. For those of you who haven’t heard the term before the first definition on Urban Dictionary says “the walk across campus in the same clothes as yesterday after you slept with someone and spent the night in their dorm room.” Or for those who want something more reputable, the online Oxford English Dictionary defines it: “n. slang (orig. and chiefly U.S. College slang) (with the) the walk home (from another person’s dormitory, etc.) in the morning after a sexual encounter, etc.” Continue Reading →

2 Condoms Are Not Better Than 1

I was walking through a building on my campus recently when I saw this:

The first thing I noticed from a distance was the statement “2 CONDOMS ARE BETTER THAN 1″ and immediately had a negative reaction to the sign. I then looked more closely at the rest of it to find out what it was about and noticed that the statement was under the much smaller heading “MYTH”. Continue Reading →

Want Something? Ask First

When you are interested in trying something new with your partner it is sometimes difficult to broach the topic, especially if you aren’t sure about how your partner will react. Being anxious about bringing up your desires with your partner is normal, of course you would like to get a positive reaction from them, but there is no way of knowing for sure what they will say. However, unless your partner is psychic, there is no way for them to know that you are interested in trying something new unless you say something. Continue Reading →
