We were some of the younger fans at the Neil Diamond concert (he is one of my all time favorites) but certainly not the only ones. Here are two photos that we took at his show at the Verizon Center in Washington DC last night:

I don’t care what anyone says. The man can still draw a crowd, and he still draws screams of joy rather than terror when he rips off his jacket (the shirt never comes off, of course). He played three songs from his recent album and two from his acoustic album that came out a few years ago (including a phenomenal version of his "Hell Yeah" song) plus the usuals – Sweet Caroline, Brother Love, Cherry Cherry, Cracklin’ Rose, Kentucky Woman, Comin’ to America, Brooklyn Roads and more.
