MySexProfessor.com was founded in 2007 by Debby Herbenick, PhD, MPH, currently an Associate Professor at the Center for Sexual Health Promotion at Indiana University, a sexual health educator at The Kinsey Institute and author of several books about sex and love. From 2007 to August 2010, Dr. Herbenick was the sole blogger on MySexProfessor.com. Between 2010 and 2014, additional bloggers joined the team.
Every one of our bloggers brought a unique perspective and expertise to MySexProfessor.com. Our blogging team included a sex research scientist/author/columnist, sex educators, and scholars who study various aspects of sex and/or gender through the lens of public health, folklore, or health promotion, undergraduate students who focus on sex and/or gender issues in their studies, and more.

She’s originally from California, but moved to Australia to get her Masters in Public Health at the University of Melbourne, which she completed in 2011. In addition to facilitating workshops, Kate worked as a teaching/research assistant and guest lecturer for the School of Population Health at the University of Melbourne. She’s also the founder of sexgeekdom.com, a website designed to bridge the gap between online and real-life community for sex educators, researchers, and others who might identify as sex geeks.
